Sarah Katherine turns six!

Blowing out SIX candles!

Sarah Katherine began her special day by going out to breakfast with Daddy. For lunch, she had a free Sonic kid's meal. The afternoon was spent with friends Maitlyn and Elspeth. For dinner she chose to have Sister Schubert's sausage rolls and macaroni and cheese. We threw in some green beans to give it the slightest hint of nutritional value. Since her birthday was on Wednesday, she shared cupcakes with all her church friends at Kid's Quest. After Kid's Quest, we came home to open presents. We continued the celebration a week later when she and Mommy went to Red Robin for her free birthday burger.

How fun it was to celebrate your life, Sarah Katherine! Daddy and Mommy love you and thank the Lord for you!

Opening presents

"Happy Birthday, Benjamin!"

On Friday, festivities began with a cupcake party. Joshua, Daniel, Abigail, Caleb, Sarah Katherine Wenger, Andrew and Emmy McClymonds were the guests. Sunday, his actual birthday, included sharing donuts with his Sunday School class, meals with menus chosen by Benjamin, play time at the park, present opening and cake. Originally, Benjamin's choices for food on his birthday were "cupcakes and cokes". We expanded a bit to include pizza and salad for lunch and chicken nuggets, mac-n-cheese and green beans for dinner. It was a fun day of celebrating. Benjamin, we are grateful for each day we have had with you. We love you!

Ice Storm

Joshua took this video of our back yard during the recent ice storm. As a result of the ice, we were without power for 54 hours.

Twins turn 10!

At the ice skating rink:
The boys. L to R: Joshua, Benjamin, Daniel, Caleb, Andrew
The girls. L to R Isabelle, Abigail W., Abigail H.
Free birthday burgers at Red Robin. We did this on the Saturday after their birthday.
Daniel received the long-awaited pocket knife and gifts from siblings.
Abigail received a watch, a green trash can (her request) and gifts from siblings.

Their special day began with breakfast out with Dad. Then they came home for a family celebration, opening their presents. After lunch we picked up the guests for Abigail's slumber party. The girl's party activities included a movie, craft of painting canvas bags, games and culminated on Tuesday with a combined ice skating event with the boys. After ice skating, the girls were dropped off, and the boys were brought home. Like the girls, the boys also played games and watched a movie. In addition to that, the boys had an exploration adventure in the woods behind our house.

It is hard to believe they entered the world ten years ago as the tiny little peanuts they were. How thankful we are to Jesus for their ten years of life. We love you, Daniel and Abigail!
I couldn't let another day go by without getting Benjamin on video saying "hamburger". Here it is.
